The purpose of the Math Tutor is to work with overweight and obese children who are falling behind with their Math assignments.

Job Responsibilities
- Tutors children math from first grade to 12th grade
- Explains materials to children utilizing various teaching techniques
- Provides math techniques and time management principles to children
- Keeps students progress records confidential
- Works closely with children's teachers to insure that they are on the same path
- Reports to the Division Manager (Head Teacher)
- Ability to identify children whose primary language is not English
- Collaborates with children's guidance counselors, parents and teachers to develop plans that could facilitate the tutoring of math
- Respect State and Federal regulations
Qualifications
- Applicants must be a sophomore, junior or senior majoring in Math or a related field
- Ability to work with diverse ethnic groups
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Knowledge in first to twelfth grade math subjects
- Be a team player
- Previous experience is preferred but not required
