The purpose of the English Tutor is to work with overweight and obese children who are falling behind with their English homework.

Job Responsibilities
- Tutors children in English from first grade to 12th grade
- Helps children in the areas of writing, vocabulary, reading, spelling and grammar
- Keeps students progress records confidential
- Works closely with children's teachers to make sure that they are on the same path
- Reports to the Division Manager
- Ability to identify children whose primary language is not English
- Collaborates with children's guidance counselors, parents and teachers to develop plans that could help in the instruction of English language skills
- Respect laws and regulations regarding bilingual education
- Respect State and Federal regulations
Qualifications
- Applicants must be a junior or senior majoring in English, education or a related field
- Ability to work with diverse ethnic groups
- Knowledge of correct spelling and grammar
- Be a team player
- Previous experience is preferred but not required
